Nicole “Nikki” Foster, Children & Youth Ministry Director

Nicole "Nikki" Foster has been a member of Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church for nearly 20 years and she has been actively involved in children and youth ministry for the past 15 years. She began her journey in servant leadership as director of both the Promise Choir for children and the Young Disciples for Christ Choir for teens and she continues in that capacity.

Nicole took another step towards God’s anointed calling upon her life when, in 2010, she agreed to co-lead the Children & Youth Ministry along with the late Ms. Brenda Anderson. Nicole and Ms. Anderson worked together for two years to establish a strong, spiritual foundation for the ministry through Bible study, fellowship, praise, and worship. At the request of the senior pastor, leadership, and the congregation Nicole, in 2014,  ultimately accepted what she believed God was calling her to do:  transition from a volunteer youth leadership role to become a full member of the FMBC staff as Children & Youth Ministry Director.

Nicole's motto is "Youth Ministry is just as much about the parents as it is about the kids. When I pray, plan, and advocate, I do so for both parents and their children." Her burning passion for FMBC’s young people is evident not only in the advocacy and work she does for children and parents, but also the support and empowerment she provides to the network of committed servant leaders who offer their talent, time, and treasure to the Children and Youth Ministry for God’s glory and our good.

In addition to serving as the Children & Youth Ministry Director, Nicole works at College Possible, a nonprofit with the mission of “making college admission possible for low-income students through an intensive curriculum of coaching and support.” She loves to sing, read, travel, and advocate for justice and equity for all--especially the marginalized and in under-served communities.

One of Nicole’s favorite scriptures is Galatians 6:9 (KJV), "Let us not be weary in well doing, for in due season we shall reap if we faint not. Her life is a testimony of this scripture as she demonstrates her passion for Christ by serving Him with gladness, and as a true worshiper. The Holy Spirit’s Spiritual Gifts of discernment, evangelism, knowledge, and wisdom overflow in Nicole’s life and she blesses everyone who encounters her.

"A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."
