Our last Bible Institute series was on the Minor Prophets. Now that we have completed that study, we will take the next six weeks to study the book of Exodus. At first glance, Exodus might not seem that exciting, however, we will gain a whole different perspective when understanding its historical and theological implication, not only pertaining to the Nation of Israel but also to the Gentile Nation.

Throughout this series we will explore and discuss how and why the Jewish people became a nation. We will identify the leader(s) of that nation and examine the challenges of not only the leaders for this nation but also the challenges of the nation itself. Moreover, we will analyze the Law given to this nation by God and their struggles with compliance.

Overview of the Book: Exodus tells the story of the birth of the nation of Israel through their deliverance from bondage in Egypt and the receiving of God’s instructions (Law), which were based on His covenant. The purpose and intent of developing and delivering this nation was to honor God and be an example to all other nations.
