My Faith Journey
I was baptized as a young child at St. James AME (St. Paul) church where I attended with my Father who was an active member and usher for over 30 years. I was an active participant in all youth programs during this time. At the age of 25, I joined Pilgrim Baptist Church where I was a member for over 20 years before joining FMBC in November, 2004. After joining FMBC, I began my faith journey formally joining the Human Resource Committee. I have remained an active member of this committee and participated in many facets of Human Resources activities including but not limited to selecting and transitioning key FBMC staff members, performance management etc. In 2009 I had the opportunity to Co-chair FMBCs Annual Women’s Retreat which was an amazing opportunity and incredible event. In 2018 I accepted the call to serve as a Trustee and Co-chair for the Human Resources Committee.
I am extremely close with my two sisters, nephew and two great nephews (ages 7 and 9). There is no greater joy than being with the boys, listening, laughing, teaching and supporting their growth and development. We also spend time with our large local extended family (i.e. holidays, family day, cousin day, etc.).
