Black History Makers & Living Legends

Honoring one of our own Black History Makers & Living Legends

Reatha Clark King, Ph.D.
Chemist, creator, executive, executive director, university president, board chairwoman, philanthropist, Delta soror...just to name a few of her many titles, not the least of which is child of God and faithful servant. Praise God for greatness in our midst.

Dr. Reatha’s favorite scripture:
2 Timothy 2:15 “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the "word of truth.”

Grief Care Ministry (GCM)

Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church has a Grief Care Ministry that offers support to members who have experienced the death of an immediate family member. We support members by being a good listener, praying for them, sharing the promises of God, remembering special dates, sending cards, and helping with simple tasks. A GCM servant volunteer is assigned to the grieving member when they indicate a desire to receive our services. Our commitment to them is to be available for one year while they cope with their grief and move towards healing.

During this past year there have been a number of deaths among our church family. We would like to reach out to more people but we need your help in order to do so. We need men and women who are good listeners, have a positive attitude, desire to help others, Holy Spirit lead, and are willing to accept 1-2 assignments . If you need more information or wish to join the GCM, please contact Connie Rance.

Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.
