 Health, Wellness, Fitness, and Faith Ministry

The “Chair Yoga Class” has changed its name to “Sit & Gentle Stretch”. The “Yoga and Meditation Ministry” name has changed to “Health, Wellness, Fitness, and Faith Ministry.”  The name change creates an opportunity to expand the scope and vision of the ministry. Its focus will be on exercises that strengthen the mind, body, and soul. Also, improving your nutrition intake.

The “Sit & Gentle Stretch” class will be held every 3rd and 4th Saturday, 10:30 – 11:30 am, in the Center for Families.

Those who prefer to challenge themselves a bit more should come to the class held every Monday evening at 6:30 – 8:00 pm, in CFF.

To register for class, you can sign-up in the atrium with Deacon Earle Phillips, call the church office at 612-588-4709, or just show up.

Classes are free to everyone.

Chair Yoga (Now Sit & Gentle Stretch) Class

The Deacon and Seniors ministries are launching a Chair Yoga class. Chair Yoga is a gentle, healthy alternative to traditional yoga for those with health challenges that limit their mobility and ability to stand for long periods of time. While this class is designed for Seniors, its health benefits are achievable by people of all ages and fitness levels. Practitioners experience an increase in energy, strength, flexibility, concentration, lower blood pressure, reduced stress, and many other health benefits. If you are interested in participating in this class you must consult with your doctor first. Completing a FMBC Liability Waiver form is also required.

The Chair Yoga class will be held each month on the third & fourth Saturdays, 10:30 - 11:30 am, in CFF. To register for the class you can sign-up in the atrium with Deacon Earle Phillips, Connie Rance, or Stephanie Maggitt or call the Church Office at 612-588-4709.

This class is free and the public is welcome to attend. Spread the word!
