My Faith Journey
My public confession and baptism happened at age 12. However, it was later in my teens that I would come to know Christ personally, intimately and truly. My life’s experiences at that time taught me how to have faith and increased my awareness of the power of the Holy Spirit. It was in my twenties that I dipped my toes in youth ministry, working on the edges, doing just enough to say I at least I was doing something. At some point along the way I realized there was more that was required of me and from then to today, my investment in young people has become a calling.
Family
I am the second of four children born to my parents, Jack & Leona Foster. They raised us to be socially conscious, proud of our heritage and more than all of that, to live our lives in service to God. They are my first example of what it looks like to put God first in all you do.
Favorite Bible Verse
My favorite scripture at this stage in my life is Jeremiah 29:11 – “For I know the plans I have for you”, declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Hobbies
In my free time I enjoy reading and though I don’t do it as often as I’d like, I love to travel.
