- Name of event: 30 Days of Prayer: Healing our community

- Purpose of the event: This event is a month long African American led collaborative intended to lend a spiritual factor to the various policy proposals intended to address the deep and multilayered trauma faced by our communities as a result of the pandemic of Covid 19, systemic racism and the heinous murder of George Floyd. we shall use this time to pray for , meditate on and hope for healing of our community.
- How will this be executed?
- Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church has chosen to manage the prayer tent on Sunday , July 26 from 10AM- 7PM.
In addition to in-person physically distanced prayer, there will be opportunities to interact with the broader community via social media, by offering photos , videos, and prayers, using the hashtag #healingourcity - Who will be leading this charge from FMBC? Deacon Clyde Brotherson (Chair) and Deacon Clem Reid (Co-chair)
we shall certainly be providing you with additional information as our plans for the event evolve. - Help which will be needed: Volunteers who can commit to 2-hour shifts beginning at 10 am and ending at 7PM on Sunday night. Volunteers will be present to pray for attendees and to manage the tent.. Shifts will be 10-12
