Marriage Mondays

Open to married couples of all ages
Mondays 7 – 8:30 pm, April 8th – April 29th

This class is designed to strengthen your marriage. Explore proven strategies for improving communication and gaining mutual understanding with your spouse. Dr. Emerson Eggerichs’ Love & Respect as well as Gary Chapman’s The 5 Love Languages will be used as reference material.

Yoga & Mindfulness Meditation
Open to everyone ages 16+
Mondays 6:30 – 7:30 & 7:45 – 8:45, April 15th – May 6th

The Yoga and Mindfulness Meditation class is designed for those new to yoga and intermediate level practitioners. The class begins with centering yourself by coming to a quiet place of stillness with scripture and prayer. The majority of the class consists of gentle to moderate stretching with standing and floor poses. Class closes with 5 – 10 minutes of meditation. Yoga is a system of physical and mental exercises designed to instill a sense of tranquility and wellbeing in the practitioner. While yoga does not represent or promote any religion, it is known to strengthen one’s spiritual awareness, thereby, bringing one in closer union with God. Yoga and meditation aims to unite the mind, the body, and the spirit.

Bridging the Gaps: I Am a Church Member

This four-session course explores the importance of church membership and its role in spiritual development. It emphasizes that achieving spiritual maturity alone is unattainable; rather, one must be interconnected with other members of the Body – the church – to grow together.

We explore the multifaceted nature of grief, acknowledging its roots in personal loss as well as the broader context of historical and societal trauma. Drawing from biblical narratives, we uncover pathways to liberate our lament, reclaiming our voices and agency in the face of sorrow and injustice.
