Beware of Email Scams
There is an email scam making its way to various members of Fellowship — in the form of an email supposedly coming from Pastor Gallmon (another form of this same scam came out a few weeks ago under Reatha King’s name). In this scam, the writer engages you in some friendly banner and then asks for a favor. He asks for you to purchase a couple of gift cards and to send them to some email address — claiming that he cannot do it now but will pay you back for your expense.
In the one that I got from “Reatha”, the request was for 2 $50 E-Bay cards.
In this day of COVID-19, a number of similar scams are moving through the community. Don’t bite! If you get any email that arouses your suspicions, telephone the individual to verify.
