My Faith Journey
My faith journey has not been a straight path. It started at Holsey Memorial Christian Church on Logan Ave in Minneapolis. This church has closed, and I transitioned to Speak the Word Church International. Now my place of worship is at Fellowship Minneapolis.
My relationship with the Lord has always been an anchor in my life, even when life’s temptations got the best of me, I always felt his love. The Lord has guided and protected me through many storms. Knowing his love is unwavering and his forgiveness will always be given has strengthened me. The Lord has a plan for all of us and I am excited to walk into the next season of the life he has planned for me.
My Family
I am proud to be a Whittaker with relationships to the McCoy and McKinney families. My grandmother, Dorthy, instilled the importance of family in me at a very young age by setting an example. We were always together celebrating something or someone. Or simply gathering on a bright summer day.
The Lord has blessed me with a wonderful husband, two children, and three grandchildren.
Favorite Bible Verse
Ephesians 4:32 “Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.”
Hobbies
I enjoy billiard games, planning family gatherings, and traveling.
