The Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal has long been committed to highighting the diversity within the Twin Cities business community. After the murder of George Floyd, they became even more intentional about those efforts, dedicating resources with the goal of elevating Black business leaders and entrepreneurs who are not often in the spotlight. Last year, the Business Journal commemorated Black History Month by launching their inaugural feature, highlighting 200 Black business and community leaders.

With the release of their second annual feature this Black History Month, we celebrate Malik Rucker for being named one of the Business Journal’s 50 Black Leaders You Should Know In the Minneapolis – St. Paul Area.

For the past three years Malik has served as Executive Director of V3 Sports, a nonprofit based in North Minneapolis, that aims to provide health, wellness, equity and opportunity through fitness, water safety, education and economic impact. Malik was also recently named as one of the Business Journal’s 2024 40 Under 40 honorees for his work to bring V3 to life.

We rejoice with Malik and pray his hard work to improve our community will yield great results and much deserved reward.

Congratulations, Malik!
